Exercise and movement is a vital part of life and a healthy lifestyle. However, most activities can involve repetitive movements, or pattern overloads, which can lead to muscle and strength asymmetry, connective tissue adhesions, and compensation patterns in the rest of the body. All these factors can lead to pain, overuse injuries or accumulative strains.

Massage at ReAlignment Lab addresses these issues to help people have optimal function in performance and life.

As a general guide, 60mins is suitable for one focus area (neck, or lower back), if you have two or more areas requiring attention, or wanting a full body massage, 90mins or 120mins is more suitable.

Please note that to help heal the body and break pain cycles or compensation patterns, a series of treatments are recommended. Usually 1-3 massages a week and then slowly spread out to 1-3 massages a month.

Personal Training

Connect one-on-one for a personalized and unique session for your specific body needs and goals. Kyle and Amanda coach with a strong emphasis on correct alignment and technique to ensure the body develops strength and stability the safest and most efficient way.

Growing up in New Zealand, Kyle pursued every sport a young boy dreamed of. Wanting to gain more strength and size, Kyle found his way into the new ‘playground’ of the gym. After High School, he decided to follow his interest in fitness to Massey University in Palmerston North. Gaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport and Exercise, he started personal training whilst then completing a Graduate Diploma in Exercise Science.

During his personal training career he spent time with numerous National sporting teams, including the Manawatu Jets NBL team and the Central Districts Stags cricket team. In an effort to increase his cardiovascular fitness, Kyle discovered mountain biking, which then lead him to Whistler in 2015. His passion for racing enduro MTB saw the evolution of his fitness training regime to encompass strength and functionality, whilst lasting the needed kilometers and hours ascending the vast mountain climbs of Whistler. This realisation was how KyleKamp came to be.

Kyle discovered he needed to train people to not only be strong and mobile, but also be able to endure the activities of the mountains, and by pushing people beyond their perceived limits, climatise them in preparation for the harsh elements. Despite being in the fitness industry, it wasn’t until Kyle met Amanda that he discovered the benefits of Massage Therapy.

Using massage to help decrease muscle tension and restrictions, Kyle was able to increase his range of motion and conquer previous chronic injuries. This new experience incited his interest further in movement and mobility. Continued study and research into biomechanics and body alignment, Kyle discovered more about the benefits of improved strength and efficient movement patterns. Many of these teachings and techniques have become the foundation for the deep core values of ReAlignment Lab.

Originally from the Central Coast region of NSW Australia, Amanda started her therapeutic journey as a Registered Remedial Massage Therapist after graduating from the North Sydney Institute of TAFE in December 2008. Combining her love of travelling and skiing, she moved around gaining experience through a majority of spa’s and clinics in Australia and Canada. During her time in Australia, she was lucky to gain sport experience with the Sydney Kings and Sydney Spirit NBL teams, and the Australian Women’s Olympic Basketball team.

Living an active life since childhood, she has always been involved in sports and outdoor activities; however it wasn’t until she met Kyle in Whistler, that she got introduced to the gym environment. After unsuccessful physiotherapy visits, Amanda tried the gym under Kyle’s coaching, to help cure her chronic back and neck pain, secondary to two previous knee injuries (MCL and a meniscus tear) from snow sports. After personally seeing the benefits of strength training and mobility, coupled with massage therapy and chiropractic care, the concept of ReAlignment Lab started to develop.

In the years that followed, her passion and enthusiasm for strength training blossomed. In 2020, Amanda gained her Personal Training Certification with NASM to enable her to truly offer a combination of massage therapy and strength training to help clients achieve the same success she did. She is now continuing her studies to transfer her Australian qualification to become an accredited RMT in British Colombia.
